The label was designed by Hotel Chocolat’s in-house design team. Hotel Chocolat had their own print specialists to repro and send print ready files. The hot foil and emboss tools were produced by Arden Engraving and they assisted by supplying renders of the tool and final label. Production of the labels took place at Royston Labels, On completion, labels were shipped to Ireland for bottling and labelling the liqueurs.
During the development of the design, several meetings took place to select materials and agree on embellishments. The design team had a clear vision of the wave effect. Working with our toolmakers, we were able to deliver the wave effect.
The label is digitally printed on our HP digital press and the colours are managed through a bespoke naming convention giving colour consistency throughout the range of every production. The label is embellished using a shaped die cutter, hot foil and emboss. The label is produced on a premium material that can withstand refrigerated and moist environments. The combination of strong consistent colours, label shape, metallic foils and embossing give a very high-quality finish that reflects the liqueur product.
