Tactile labels

Royston Labels are specialists in the production of self adhesive labels with a raised tactile finish. A raised tactile effect can be created using a tactile varnish. This sensory format, as well as being highly decorative also has a number of functional benefits. Incorporating a tactile finish into elements of the label design significantly enhances shelf appeal whilst areas of tactile varnish can also add grip to products that need to be squeezed and for those personal care products that are used in wet conditions such as in the bathroom, or on products used outdoors. Additionally a tactile effect is commonly used to create hazard warning triangles.

A raised tactile finish can be included on self adhesive labels applied to a wide range of containers, from glass jars to flexible tubes, thus allowing the tactile effect to be applied consistently to labels across a product range where a number of different pack formats and label sizes may be used.

As well as a gloss tactile finish Royston Labels have recently developed a process which results in the production of a raised tactile effect with a matt finish.
