Special finishes
Royston Labels diverse printing technology enables us to provide a wide range of special finishes to add value and ensure your products have maximum impact at point of sale.
- Lamination – Laminating is when a thin film is applied to the label after it has been printed. Lamination gives a premium look and feel to self adhesive labels. Available in gloss and matt, lamination provides a hard wearing finish and also provides protection
- Varnishing – A wide range of varnishes are available to enhance the look and feel of your self adhesive labels including UV, tactile, pearlescent, glitter, iridescent and spot
- Hot and Cold foiling – A wide range of coloured metallic foils are available to add a premium and luxurious look to your printed labels
- Embossing – Embossing is a process which utilises a die to add a three dimensional look to your printed labels
- Hexachrome(TM) – Hexachrome is a six colour printing process which can provide enhanced colour definition to your printed labels
- Metallic inks – The use of metallic inks gives a metallic look or a shine / lustre that is not possible using normal printing inks
- Scratch ‘n’ sniff – Scratch n sniff is a process where specific aromas are micro-encapsulated and added as a coating to specific images within the label design. When these areas of the label are scratched an aroma is released
